‘Sky is Red’ documentary- the “untold story of the push for gender, race, and class equity in the growing world of ultimate”
This is a very important project worthy of our support.
“The Sky Is Red will tell the stories of underrepresented and marginalized individuals pushing for gender, race, and class equity in the growing world of ultimate frisbee from 1968 to the present. The film will explore the parallels and connections between history and present-day events. The unsung efforts and tricky conversations in the small community of ultimate become a microcosm for the fight to upend institutional power balances in the world.”

Callahan Award nomination videos!
The Callahan Award is the highest honor awarded to college ultimate players and is given to one male and one female player each year who best epitomizes the qualities of high skill, talent, good spirit, sportsmanship, and leadership. One of the fun things about the Callahan Award for ultimate fans is the pile of promotional videos put together by friends and teammates of potential Callahan Award winners. The videos pull together each players highlights and are set to music and edited to be exciting to watch.
Here are the Callahan videos from a few of the past year’s winners as well as some of this years videos from other college stars.
Enjoy!

2013 U23 Women’s World Championships – USA vs Canada
Chloë Rowse, the Falmouth Alum who is running an ultimate frisbee camp this summer through the Falmouth Rec. Dept., is playing with the U23 Women’s Nationals team this year. I thought it’d be cool to share a U23 game, though Chloë is not in this one (we’ll share her games as soon as they start popping up on the net).
