Beautiful video! This is from a tournament in Hawaii.
Today’s tournament is cancelled due to rain.
Props for this beautiful catch during Sunday’s game!
And to Peter Guyton, Chance’s dad, for taking the photos!
Parents of Rogue players— please RSVP for this weekend so I can build our team lists.
Our tournament this weekend will be held in South Portland at the Wainright complex of fields. Note: Plan on adding an extra ten minutes to walk from the car to the fields. Wainright can be a bit of a hike, depending on which fields we’re on.

Due to the deluge of rain set to hit later tonight, tomorrow’s scheduled tournament at the Cumberland Fairgrounds has been moved to Sunday, weather permitting. Check email, this website, and the team schedule for updates.
Please RSVP for your child for Sunday with Coach Shea if you have not already.
I’m going to watch the weather in the next few hours before deciding if tonight’s practice will be on. I will make the final call on that no later than 5pm.
If you have a uniform from last year that you can lend out per my email request, please bring it to tonight’s practice.
We will be driving down to Amherst, Massachusetts on Sunday to play in the Amherst Regional Middle School Invitational Tournament. Players need to arrive at the Amherst High School, where the tournament will be held, by no later than 9:30am.
It takes about three hours to drive from the Falmouth High School, where we will gather for carpooling pick up and drop off, so we will hit the road on Sunday at 6:30am. Carpoolers should arrive at the school no later than 6:15am.
If you are a parent of a player and have not contacted Coach Shea about your plans for Sunday, please do so. Specifically, indicate whether you are driving down, how many available seats you have if so, or if your player will need a ride.
Our last game ends at 3:40pm but we will stop for ice cream in Amherst before driving back, so we’ll arrive back in Falmouth no later than 8pm on Sunday.
Our game schedule:
10:30am – 11:40am— Game One on Field 2 vs. Tropical Heliconia
11:50am – 1:00pm— Game Two on Field 2 vs. Needham
2:30pm – 3:40pm— Game Three on Field 5 vs. Shady Hill
Here are directions to the Amherst High School.
Players should pack all the things they would bring to a regular tournament as well as any money they might want to spend on snacks on the way down and/or back. The weather is calling for scattered showers on Sunday with temperatures in the low 70s, so make sure to pack for the full range of possible weather conditions. Protip— pack three pairs of socks so your players can change between games.
We are playing under the lights in Portland on Friday night from 7-9pm. Our game is being held on the turf field behind Deering High School. Please plan on arriving at the field no later than 6:45pm.
We will be playing against Gorham on Friday at 5pm. Click here for directions to the field in Gorham; here is exactly where we are playing:
Please plan on arriving in Gorham no later than 4:30pm.
On Sunday, we will be playing in the Southern Maine Invitational tournament in South Portland at the Wainright fields. Our first game is at noon with our last starting at 3:15. Our schedule for Sunday:
Game One: 12:00 noon against MECW on field 16
Game Two: 1:45pm against Cape Elizabeth on field 15
Game Three: 3:15pm against Greely 1 on field 13
If you haven’t been to Wainright before, plan on an extra ten minutes to find your way. It’s a bit of a walk from where you park the cars and though the fields will be well-labeled, it’s still a good idea to factor in a bit of extra time to find your way to the right field.
Players should plan on being ready, cleated up, and ready to warm up by 11:30am.
There will be food trucks at the fields, though players should still plan on bringing tournament snacks to tide themselves over. It’s also not a bad idea to plan your food truck visits either well before or well after the lunch time rush. Busy lines can get long.
And finally— great news! Our shirts and shorts will be delivered a week early and will be delivered to my house by 8pm tomorrow. Hopefully the UPS truck finds its way to my house before I make the drive to Gorham for the game, but at the very least, we’ll be fully kitted up and ready to rock at the tournament on Sunday.
My apologies. The end of the year tournament is on Sunday, NOT Saturday, at the Wainright fields in South Portland. Our first game is at 9am, so players should be ready to start warming up at at 8:30am at the latest. We’ll be done for the day by 1:30.
Sorry for the mixup!
