Intramural starts on Saturday!

Get excited! The Intramural Team’s first practice and game is this Saturday, May 30th! We’ll be gathering at our normal spot on the grass fields behind the Falmouth High School, next to the turf and track, and playing from 4-6pm.

I have made some changes to the start time for Monday Intramural. Boys lacrosse runs on Mondays until 6:30, so we’ll be starting at 6pm starting on Monday, May 9th, to give the lax boys a chance to miss the least amount of game time as possible. Each Intramural session will start with a half hour of warm-ups, so the boys lacrosse players shouldn’t miss too much game time with our 6pm start times. The sun sets a little too early for us to start at 6pm on our first Monday meeting, on May 2nd, so we’re sticking to our 5:30pm start time for just that one day.

Apologies for the confusion here. As always, email me at sheagunther@gmail.com if I can clarify anything.

FMS Travel is now “Falmouth Rogue”!

The FMS Travel Team is now officially known as Falmouth Rogue!

We are Falmouth Rogue!

Not the Rogues, but Rogue. We are one. We are Rogue.

We were very lucky to work with local Falmouth artist and student Joey Han, whose sister Katie, now up in the high school, was a founding member of FMS Ultimate. Our team kit will be printed by the fine folks at FIVE Ultimate and should be in our hands around the first week of May.

In case you missed the first one— Parents & Players Meeting, 3/29 at 6pm at Falmouth Library

We’re hosting a second Parents & Players Meeting on Tuesday, March 29th at 6pm at the Falmouth Town Library on Lunt Road. This meeting with be the same as our first gathering earlier this month and is designed for parents who were unable to attend that meeting. I will talk about the upcoming season, the differences between Travel and Intramural, and answer all questions.

Remember that the deadline to sign up for the Travel Team is April 1st, so this last meeting is a good chance to find out any last details before deciding which team to play on (there is no deadline for the Intramural Team).

Hello 2016!

FMS Ultimate is back for another exciting season!

We’re making some big changes to the program this year and splitting up into two overlapping teams— the Intramural Team which meets just twice a week and the Travel Team which will play on the Intramural Team as well as playing and practicing a few more days a week. The Intramural Team’s schedule will be designed to be accommodating as possible for athletes playing other sports this Spring. We want to give new players the chance to try out ultimate in a fun and laid back atmosphere.

The Travel Team is for players who are ready to commit to playing ultimate as their main sport. Travel Team players will also play on the Intramural Team and will have an additional two or three days of practices and games every week. The Travel Team will also play a longer season with practices set to start at the end of March. The Intramural team will start up in the end of April.

We’ll be releasing more details in the coming weeks and will have a parents’ meeting in February, but you can contact me if you have any questions at sheagunther@gmail.com.
