The 145-gram Jstar disc by Discraft is a wonderfully scaled-down version of the 175-gram Ultrastar discs used in regulation play. We are printing up 100 Falmouth Rogue Jstar discs this year to use in our new 3rd/4th grade intramural program and for use when Coach Shea teaches the Falmouth 4th graders how to play ultimate in their gym classes. Here’s a mock up of how they will look. We’ll have them ready to throw by mid-March!
Credit to Falmouth artist Joey Han for the design of our logo, which converted to one-color beautifully.
WAY too hot out there for ultimate. Intramural practice is cancelled today.
With registration for the travel team closed for the season, we’re happy to open up registration for the Intramural team, which starts playing Monday, May 1st and that practices and plays two days a week— Mondays and Thursdays from 6-8pm. Click over here for more details on the Intramural team.
Doh! Too much rain. No ultimate today.
Get excited! The Intramural Team’s first practice and game is this Saturday, May 30th! We’ll be gathering at our normal spot on the grass fields behind the Falmouth High School, next to the turf and track, and playing from 4-6pm.
I have made some changes to the start time for Monday Intramural. Boys lacrosse runs on Mondays until 6:30, so we’ll be starting at 6pm starting on Monday, May 9th, to give the lax boys a chance to miss the least amount of game time as possible. Each Intramural session will start with a half hour of warm-ups, so the boys lacrosse players shouldn’t miss too much game time with our 6pm start times. The sun sets a little too early for us to start at 6pm on our first Monday meeting, on May 2nd, so we’re sticking to our 5:30pm start time for just that one day.
Apologies for the confusion here. As always, email me at email@example.com if I can clarify anything.
We’re hosting a second Parents & Players Meeting on Tuesday, March 29th at 6pm at the Falmouth Town Library on Lunt Road. This meeting with be the same as our first gathering earlier this month and is designed for parents who were unable to attend that meeting. I will talk about the upcoming season, the differences between Travel and Intramural, and answer all questions.
Remember that the deadline to sign up for the Travel Team is April 1st, so this last meeting is a good chance to find out any last details before deciding which team to play on (there is no deadline for the Intramural Team).
