Doh! More snow on the way. Schools are closed for all events on Saturday due to the weather, so no practice tomorrow morning.

Big debut— Falmouth Rogue 2017 Team Kit by Joey Han
Get excited!
We were lucky again this year to get to work with local Falmouth student and future-superstar artist Joey Han on our team kit. Joey’s sister Katie is an alumni of FMS Ultimate and currently plays on the high school team.
For a point of reference here is last year’s kit:

And here is what we’ll be wearing as a team in 2017!

The story for this year’s team kit is that the giant octopus from last year’s shirt has seen the light and decided to join up with Falmouth Rogue. Ultimate frisbee is, after all, all about good community spirit and inclusiveness. This year the team is doing battle underwater against a giant crab, where a magic air bubble keeps the Rogue ship in the right.
Remember— the deadline to register for Falmouth Rogue is coming up on March 15th!
Open Gym Meet & Greet coming up!
We’ll be holding our first ever Open Gym Meet & Greet on Tuesday, February 14th (5:45pm-6:45pm) at the Plummer Motz gym and then again two days later on Thursday the 16th. These are informal sessions where players and parents will have the chance to meet other players and the team coaches and to ask any questions about the upcoming season. There will be lots of discs to throw around the gym.
We will be holding a more formal parents meeting in the first week of March at the Falmouth Library before the season kicks off at the end of that month.
Because of a tight deadline on printing our team uniforms, the signup deadline for the Travel Team is Friday, March 10th.
The Intramural Team will start playing in May and has no deadlines for signup.
Spread the word!
Intramural ultimate is CANCELED today due to rain
Doh! Too much rain. No ultimate today.
Intramural starts on Saturday!
Get excited! The Intramural Team’s first practice and game is this Saturday, May 30th! We’ll be gathering at our normal spot on the grass fields behind the Falmouth High School, next to the turf and track, and playing from 4-6pm.
I have made some changes to the start time for Monday Intramural. Boys lacrosse runs on Mondays until 6:30, so we’ll be starting at 6pm starting on Monday, May 9th, to give the lax boys a chance to miss the least amount of game time as possible. Each Intramural session will start with a half hour of warm-ups, so the boys lacrosse players shouldn’t miss too much game time with our 6pm start times. The sun sets a little too early for us to start at 6pm on our first Monday meeting, on May 2nd, so we’re sticking to our 5:30pm start time for just that one day.
Apologies for the confusion here. As always, email me at sheagunther@gmail.com if I can clarify anything.
