Caitlyn Hanely has been awarded the first Falmouth Rogue College Scholarship!
I took over the Falmouth middle school ultimate program in its second year of existence back in 2014, inheriting a small team of players that included a very excited and serious 7th grader named Caitlyn. In her two years as a middle school player, Caitlyn became a team leader and a fantastic player, something she continued excelling at when she joined the high school team. This year was Caitlyn’s final year of high school and she’ll be going off to college up at Bates, where she’ll also play on their ultimate team.
Caitlyn is the perfect first winner of the Falmouth Rogue College Scholarship, which I was very happy to award her this week during the high school team banquet. The $200 scholarship is admittedly on the smaller side, but should help at least pay for some books.
