Maine’s own Charles Cleary (AKA Chuck), who will be producing a video for Falmouth Rogue later this season, just released a beautifully shot and produced highlights video from the 2017 USAU Women’s Club Finals between Boston’s Brute Squad and San Francisco’s Fury. Amazing ultimate.

Game from Game Night- 2017 National Championships Mixed Finals
We watched a fully-produced game of professional ultimate during last night’s practice. Here’s the game we watch, for anyone who missed practice or for parents interested in seeing what top-level play looks like.

Registration open until the end of the month!
We’ve done some logistical juggling and are now able to keep registration open for Falmouth Rogue through the end of the month!
The good news is that our first practice is on Friday, March 30th and the deadline to register isn’t until the following day, March 31st. So players can now check out the first practice before making the final decision to commit to the full season!
Tonight’s meeting is postponed until Saturday at noon
The roads are a bit too slippery to meet tonight, so we’ll be pushing back to meet at noon this Saturday. Same place- Falmouth Town Library on Lunt. Apologies if that conflicts with any weekend plans. The deadline to register will be pushed back to Sunday and I’ll post notes from the meeting Saturday evening.
Falmouth Rogue, the highlights video
This season we’re super lucky to be employing the services of ultimate video-producing superstar Charles Cleary, who is local to the area and known for his top quality videos. A sample of this work is below. Chuck will be filming one of our games this season and producing a similar video of highlights for Falmouth Rogue. Get excited!
First look at our new Rogue Jstar disc design!
The 145-gram Jstar disc by Discraft is a wonderfully scaled-down version of the 175-gram Ultrastar discs used in regulation play. We are printing up 100 Falmouth Rogue Jstar discs this year to use in our new 2nd/4th grade intramural program and for use when Coach Shea teaches the Falmouth 4th graders how to play ultimate in their gym classes. Here’s a mock up of how they will look. We’ll have them ready to throw by mid-March!

Credit to Falmouth artist Joey Han for the design of our logo, which converted to one-color beautifully.
Spirit of the Game: Tennis style
Watch as tennis great Roger Federer calls his own serve out. THIS is how we play ultimate. Play with top class or don’t play at all.
